Last June our stunning bride wore the most gorgeous custom made Monique Lhuillier gown. Somehow I just found this photo and I am seriously in love with this all white shot from Glen of Christian Oth Studio

K+E’s NYC e-session with our friends from Christian Oth Studio has us so excited for their December nuptials at The High Line Hotel. Don’t get me wrong, we aren’t rushing spring or summer but they are just such an amazing couple and we have some exciting ideas up our sleeves for the big day.
Enjoy!

Last week we had multiple client meetings here in the city. In one day we went from the Upper West Side to the Upper East Side, down to the West Village, back up to Midtown, down to Tribeca and finished in the Union Square area. Phewww…I am exhausted thinking of it! Needless to say, it was a crazy busy day but ending it with a client meeting at ABC Kitchen was the perfect end to a client/vendor filled day of meetings. This might be one of my favorite spots to meet clients or to go out on a date night. Plus, every time I leave here I go back home wanting to redecorate the digs!

The other night while I was meeting a potential client the groom asked if I had ever turned down a client. I quickly responded...”absolutely!” They both laughed at my very quick response and wanted to know my reasoning. The truth is, I have turned down clients many of times. When I first started my company I made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t take on any clients just to have clients. I wanted to invest my time and efforts into couples who respect me, challenge me and when all is said and done I could go grab a glass (or two) of wine with. The fact of the matter is, had I said YES to the 30+ inquiries I received last year, I would have never established the relationships and now friendships I have made with my clients. I LOVE the fact that I can pick-up the phone and text A+J to hangout on the weekends or that I snap-chat with C pictures of my daughters. My couples have become a part of me. They meet my husband, my daughters, my sisters and even my parents. One wedding I am sure many of you remember is M+D’s Riverside Yacht Club wedding in Greenwich, CT. I am forever grateful to this couple as they have been my biggest supporters from the start. I have worked with so many of their friends and even co-workers since their wedding two years ago. Just recently I had the honor to plan C+P’s wedding here in New York City and M+D were in the bridal party… talk about having so much fun at a wedding?!
I sure lucked out in the client category and I want to thank my former and current clients for being such incredible and supportive people!

The last few months have been a complete world wind – to say the least. Pat and I welcomed two beautiful little girls, Stella Mae + Millie Anderson on June 16th (two 1/2 months early) and in the middle of a crazy wedding season. To my clients, thank you for being the absolute greatest and supporting us during that time. Oh, and you know who else are the greatest people ever?! My sisters, Candice and Tiffany. Candice joined the team last year and was the lead planner for four of our biggest weddings of the season. I have so much love for them it’s not even funny! With all that being said, I started our rebranding and updating our website a few weeks before the storm hit. Here I am, five months later finally launching our site. I am going to try my hardest to keep up with blog posts as we have had some seriously incredible weddings in 2014 and one more to go! I hope you explore our new site and check back every now and again while I continue to make updates. Being a business owner and new mom to twins is seriously, no joke – so thank you for your patience! I am so excited for the future of Stella Day Events and our sister company that is currently in the works! Cheers to my clients, my family + friends and all the vendors whom have supported and continue to support us. I adore you and I am blessed to have people like you in my life.

Ahhh, Kate + Rob’s Riverside Yacht Club wedding .. I truly don’t even know where to start. I spent so much time with Kate and her mom during the year of planning that I truly missed them once the big weekend was over. When she hired me, I told her that I was having twins and they were due one month before her wedding. Without any hesitation she congratulated me and said she had fully trusted me and knew that no matter what happened, I wouldn’t let her down. She was right! They are such an incredible family and I was so blessed to be part of this day. Kate and Rob, you are two of the kindest individuals and your love for each other is truly remarkable. Much love to you both!

Kerry + Mike fell in love on the golf course when they were just 13 years old. Fast forward a few years later and they came right back to the spot where it all happened! We loved everything about this Winged Foot Golf Club wedding and had so much fun working with the couple and the incredible vendors. During the year of planning, Kerry was in her final year of getting her MBA at Kellogg out in Chicago – a few days after the wedding she flew back to Chicago where she graduated with her MBA – can we say: Best. Week. Ever?! Kudos to our favorite Aussie for capturing this amazing day. You are the man, Craig Paulson! Read more about this NY TIMES COUPLE and their love for the links!
