SOUL Country

March 8, 2013

Last night I attended what was the best workout experience of my life- bold statement coming from a former college athlete to describe a 45-minute group class, but oh so true!

On Monday afternoon, I waited patiently to sign up for my weekly SOUL classes when I noticed the 63rd street location was having a theme ride-SOUL Country. I thought I had died and went to heaven! I am a die hard country music fan so I obviously wasn’t going to let this ride pass me by.

When I checked into class, the staff was rocking their cowboy boots and cowboy hats, bandanas were hanging from the bikes and Miranda Lambert was jamming in the background. It’s not that often that New York City get a taste of country and when it does, I am all over it!

I am totally not one of those chics singing her heart out in class, but girls let me tell ya’ll- last night was another story. I was in my element and I didn’t have a care in the world!

With their down to earth SOUL, Emily Turner and Bethanny  lead the class and brought the house down. Never in my life did I think I would do sprints to the banjo or
“Gunpowder & Lead” or do hills with Jason Aldean, but my oh my, was it awesome! They straight up kicked my “ honky tonk badonkadonk.”

For brides looking to get into kick-ass shape before the big day, I suggest you take a stab at Soul Cycle–I’ll even join you!  It will truly change your life and if you get the opportunity to take a SOUL Country class, jump all over.

Emily T & Bethanny- I was so sad when last nights workout ended but it was the perfect way to head into the weekend.  I am already looking forward to the next SOUL Country class!

Cheers to an amazing weekend …we have lots of surprises coming on Monday …and thanks for one hell of a workout!

xx
