That Rustic Feel

If you are planning a rustic wedding / event, you’ll especially love this post. Rustic events utilize natural fibers such as burlap, one of our most favorite and inspiring decorative touches. You may have seen burlap used in wedding decor tied around mason jars, as a fabric to cover ring pillows, or as natural table decor… but the inspiration doesn’t stop there! Check out some of the ways that you can tie burlap into your big day.

Being that my husband and I were going on safari for our honeymoon, my mom deiced to throw a “Safari Themed” bridal shower for me. She used burlap as a tablecloth ( below) and it pulled the entire theme together!

Monogramming Done Right

I love a good monogram! It is the perfect way to brand your wedding.  From invitations to favors, a monogram can be the common theme throughout your wedding design.  Like anything else, you never want to overdo it, but here are a few of my favorite monogram ideas.

Minty Fresh Monday

March 4, 2013

photo

Yesterday, my husband walked into the house with four boxes of Thin Mints that he bought from the girl scouts selling cookies outside of the local Whole Foods.  I spent the remainder of the day trying to resist the minty goodness and I finally caved in! After almost finishing a sleeve all by myself ( so much for my morning workout)  I decided that us East Coasters could use a little color in our life. Spring seems so close but with another cold front coming our way this week,  I thought a pop of color on a Monday could give as all a little hope. It’s a good thing mint is such a popular and fresh wedding color!photo-1

on-following-your-dreams

I’m thrilled to have you here on opening day!

This launch marks the beginning of a dream for me– a dream to pursue a career in helping others experience and celebrate life’s special pleasures.

Not only am I excited to celebrate my first blog post and the launch of my website, but I want to take the time to thank my family, friends and of course all the other vendors in the wedding and event industry. It is such a wonderful feeling to have so much support behind me and if I don’t say it enough…thank you! I want to especially thank my husband, Pat. He has been my rock, my biggest supporter and the one checking in on me at 1 AM while I try my hardest to break into the wedding industry. Because of you, I am forever grateful!

This blog, is an attempt to journal my real experiences in the wedding and event world. From proposals to weddings and all of life’s simple pleasures in between, I will do my best to share these moments with you.

Thanks for making your first visit of what we hope will become part of your daily routine.
